OUTPATIENT SERVICES

The outpatient service is provided on every monday and thursday from morning 8:30AM. The department handles over 3500 outpatients every month. The outpatient block is located in first floor & has airconditioned consultation chambers & waiting lounge.

Every monday morning 8:30AM onwards.

INTENSIVE CORONARY CARE UNIT

The the department has modern ICCU settings to handle the cardiac emergencies. The ICCU has 14 beds with cardiac monitors and ventilators. The ICCU is managed by residents on roster basis along with dedicated nursing officers. There is a dedicated cath ICU with 9 beds exclusively for patients undergoing invasive cardiac interventions. The ICCU has got 2 echo machines (Philips & Seimens), a Portable Xray machine (ADONIS HF) & ventilators. Critically ill cardiac patients and those with ACS coming to medicine casualty are immediately transferred here and are managed accordingly. daily rounds conducted by the concerned unit staff and individualised treatment is planned. Dedicated waiting area and counselling space for the bystanders with washroom facilities are provided.

CARDIOLOGY WARD

Cardiology ward comprises of 40 beds which are divided into 5 cubicles. The spacious ward helps in ailing patients who are transferred out from ICCU after stabilisation. Adequate ventilations & well lit ambience along with caring nursing officers and doctors creates a homely atmosphere for the apprehensive patients. Ward rounds are taken on  every morning by concerned staff along with residents and nursing officers. Patient information boards are fixed on the walls in local languages to clear the doubts of the patients. The ward has got modern toilet facilities, separate for males and females.

DIAGNOSTIC SERVICES

ECHO CARDIOGRAPHY

The department has 4 top-quality echocardiography lab with sophisticated machines providing quality diagnostic services in a patient-friendly environment. The lab performs not only  transthoracic echo but also transesophageal echo, fetal echo, contrast echo & peripheral vascular studies. We perform more than 1200 echo studies for the patients in need. Adding to this, the institution has multiple echo machines in other departments and MDICU which aids in bedside echocardiography services.

TREAD-MILL TEST

The department has got two topclass TMT machines and performs around 200 studies per month.

HOLTER STUDY

This is beneficial for patients who require continuous ECG recordings. The department has 6 MORTARA H12+ Holter machines, and the report is analyzed using the latest Holter analysis software.

 

INTERVENTIONAL CARDIOLOGY

The department is equipped with a dynamic division of Interventional Cardiology with 24-hour service, offering adult and pediatric cardiac interventions under the guidance of dynamic leaders, Dr Vinayakumar and Dr Jayaram, in collaboration with residents, experienced Cath Technicians and Cath Nursing Officers. The department offers a variety of interventional services, including Coronary Interventions; Peripheral Angiogram/Angioplasty; Device Closures; BMV; ICD Implantations; Pacemaker Insertions (Permanent & Temporary) and Alcohol Septal Ablation.
